No tiene mala pinta, no. Se trata de la IANIS Conference Bilbao 2007, que tendrá lugar aquí en Bilbao, del 13 al 15 de junio de 2007. Esta conferencia forma parte de IANIS Innovative Actions Network for the Information Society. Y el congreso se presenta bajo el lema Technological Innovation & Creativity: Knowledge-based regions for a competitive Europe.
Without doubt, to be competitive in a global context, Europe has to accelerate its transition to the knowledge-based society and exploit more fully than today the benefits from ICT adoption and deployment. But, technology development and take-up alone will not bring success. Talent has to be nurtured, enterprise has to be rewarded, and innovation and creativity have to be better supported. More and better investment in R&D and innovation are called for to achieve the Lisbon goals.
Ya supongo que tendrá cierto (¿mucho?) peso político, pero las líneas de trabajo de IANIS y que se abordarán en el congreso parecen atractivas: Infrastructure, eGovernment, eLearning, Indicators & Benchmarking, eBusiness y eHealth. Yo no podré estar, pero ya me gustaría contar con alguna persona infiltrada para saber qué tal resulta. Ten en cuenta que la inscripción es gratuita y, si entiendo bien, parece que hasta puedes acceder a un cocktail de bienvenida, una cena de gala en el Guggenheim y una comida tras el cierre de la conferencia. Aquí en Bilbao es que somos así. 😉
